Meet Cardoza Flooring
I was born in Michigan while my father was in the Air Force, and we soon moved to Japan. Growing up, I rarely lived in one place for more than two years. After graduating high school, I moved out to New Hampshire to be with my now wife and to attend school for culinary arts. While working full-time and attending school, I started helping a friend install flooring on the weekends. After working with him for a while, I realized that the flooring industry was going to be a better opportunity for me than working in the culinary field. I left my full-time job and joined as my friend’s apprentice full-time. This is when I met Mike Cardoza and started working with Cardoza Flooring.
Mike treated me like a son from the very beginning and took me under his wing, sharing his knowledge and experiences. He had recently opened Cardoza Flooring when I started working with him as a lead installer. We worked together to build Cardoza Flooring to what it is today. When I began with Cardoza Flooring, there were three employees: Mike, his brother Jim, and me. I have been with the company for 19 years, and we have grown to have an office full of employees, four incredible in-house crews, and an amazing group of subcontractors who work together on a daily basis.
The biggest mistake that many of our customers make when selecting flooring for their project is focusing on the color and/or price. While these details are very important to every project, Cardoza Flooring will work with our customers to find the best selection for the project while keeping color and pricing in mind. We will ask questions about the project, such as: Do you have pets or kids? Will this area be heated year-round? Is this a heavy traffic area? Does the home get a lot of sun exposure? Does the home stay at a consistent humidity and temperature level? With the answers to these questions, Cardoza Flooring will advise the best materials for the project and educate the customer on the different options.
What makes Cardoza Flooring unique is our motto, “We are a family-run business that treats you like family.” Whether you are an employee, a potential customer, or a repeat customer, you will be treated like a member of the Cardoza family! This is the reason I have stayed with Mike and Cardoza Flooring for 19 years, and I believe this is what sets us apart from other flooring stores and what makes our company successful. You can expect that anyone you come in contact with will provide you with their full attention and knowledge to ensure that the selections you make for your project are the best for your home and family.
The flooring industry is constantly changing, and Cardoza Flooring works very hard to keep our employees in educational programs and keep certifications up to date. Whether learning about new products or new installation procedures, we can answer any questions that are thrown at us, and you can feel confident that all Cardoza Flooring employees are up to date on everything the flooring industry has to offer and that your new floor will be installed properly.
