What approach can I take to improve my health to be better prepared for the future?
Like many businesses and industries, the fitness profession has undergone a major disruption and shift in how it will survive the post-Covid world. As a 20-year fitness professional, I have witnessed many changes in the way we deliver services and have tailored our message to the general public. However, nothing is as disruptive and widespread as the last two years. “Business as usual” will not meet the demands of this changing market.
The post-Covid consumer is looking for a more individualized program that is going to bring them the most benefit, as well as improve their overall health and wellness. Many more people are aware of the need to get healthier, improve immunity, and overall muscular and cardiovascular strength. There is a greater emphasis on becoming more fit and resilient to deal with any future challenges to their health.
Where many of the questions in the past focused on weight/fat loss, now the questions are more health/immunity concerns. The message that we in the fitness profession are promoting is…You must become an advocate for your own health. We all need to become more involved in promoting healthy living and the prevention of sickness.
The challenge that many face is what to do. There are so many different options available to them that making a decision on which approach is best is overwhelming. This is where a qualified fitness professional is not only helpful but in many cases necessary to put them in the right direction. The guidance and assistance that a fitness professional provides make reaching the fitness/wellness goals more streamlined and individualized.
At Elite Personal Training & Fitness, we have always placed an emphasis on individualized programming for our clients. We take the time to understand our clients, and the challenges that have been holding them back, and then present a plan that is going to bring about the outcomes they desire most. This is something that we pride ourselves on doing, and strive to deliver the best experience to our clients. We understand that a “cookie-cutter,” one-size-fits-all approach to fitness is not going to be the best way to bring about physical betterment to a population facing the challenges of today’s work and mostly sedentary environments.
By identifying, not only the physical limitations of an individual but also the other limiting factors (mindset, schedule, environmental, support, etc.), we can develop a personal plan for each client, giving them the best outcome. Whether it is fat loss, injury prevention, post-rehab, better movement, or sport-specific programming, we have a stable of dedicated, qualified professionals who specialize in certain modalities ready to meet the needs of each client. Our programs are all based on getting people healthier, moving better, overcoming and preventing injury, providing guidance and empowerment to all our clients…so they can feel better, move better, and be better.
If you are looking for an improved approach to fitness, I would encourage you to set up a consult with me, or one of our qualified fitness professionals today. Discover the difference an ELITE personal trainer can make in your health and fitness journey…for 2022…and beyond.
