From the uncertainty of COVID to helping 700 individuals and community building

Greet Bedford has hit the 5 year mark

Five years ago, we were confined to our homes, our first responders were supporting us, and we were uncertain about our future with COVID-19 at our doorstep.  It was a tough time.  When we reached our first deadline to launch Bedford Living in March 2020, we had no idea COVID-19 was around the corner.  At the time, the vision for this magazine was to help unite the town through storytelling and events. However, COVID denied us that social gift of events.  With many highs and lows, we are pleased to say that Bedford Living, now Greet Bedford's vision, is thankfully in full force. Our goal of bringing the community together with stories about the people and our growing business community has connected many of us.  Allowing in-person events has forged many meaningful connections with residents as well as with local business owners.  In today's world, storytelling and social interaction remain fundamental human practices, essential to our well-being, particularly in light of the advancement of AI.  We are proud to say that, since our launch in May 2020, we have shared nearly 1,600 stories and hosted close to 60 events. And, with the support of all of our sponsors, Greet Bedford has helped intercept over 700 individuals from Human Trafficking through our non-profit arm, N2 Gives.   We explain this further in our Meet Your Neighbors Cover article.

From the bottom of your hearts, thank you for contributing, reading, nominating, sponsoring, and using a business we recommend in the magazine. It is free every month because of our vetted business partners.  Here's to the next five years of storytelling, community building, and trying to make a difference in the lives of those who have lost their voices.
