Attic Renovation

Like most families during the pandemic, the Gahlsdorf family of Bedford decided it was a good time to expand their space upward after leaving the space unfinished for ten years. During the winter of 2020 and spring of 2021, they converted their approximately 750 square foot attic space into a living room and movie theater, two offices and a full bathroom. Though the Gahlsdorf family believed their request to use every square inch may have been too ambitious, the team at Liberty Hill Construction was equal to the task. By expanding into the attic, the two offices are removed from the bustle of traffic in the floors below. Blackout window treatments designed by Deb McBride convert the lofty and bright attic space into the perfectly dark theater. Serving multiple purposes, each room in the attic sees daily use: from the cozy office nooks during the work week to the bird's eye views of the property during leisurely weekends.
