Patriotism, Tradition, and Community Spirit
Celebrating 5 years of Greet Corona del Mar
As America approaches its 250th birthday, I find myself reflecting on how fortunate we are to live in communities like Corona del Mar—places where traditions matter, neighbors become lifelong friends, and community pride is something that is genuinely felt and celebrated.
This issue is especially meaningful because it captures so many of the things that make this community extraordinary. We are also celebrating 120 years since the founding of Newport Beach—a milestone that reminds us just how special our coastal communities truly are and how fortunate we are to call this area home.
This year also marks a very special milestone for us at Greet Corona del Mar: our 5-year anniversary. For the past five years, it has been our privilege to tell the stories of the people, families, businesses, and traditions that make this village by the sea such a remarkable place. What makes this publication unique is that it truly belongs to the community. We simply could not publish it month after month without the participation, support, and contributions of our residents. Whether you've shared family milestones, nominated a neighbor, contributed photos, submitted story ideas, opened your home for a feature, or simply taken the time to read each issue, you have helped shape what Greet Corona del Mar has become. For that, we are incredibly grateful.
This summer, we are especially excited to see the community come together once again for the beloved July 3rd Thursday event with this year's theme: Endless Summer. Few things capture the spirit of Corona del Mar better than families, friends, and neighbors gathering together to celebrate summer, community, and country in one of the most beautiful small-town settings anywhere along the coast.
Whether it's celebrating the birth of our nation, honoring the history of our city, or simply gathering together for cherished local traditions, Corona del Mar residents consistently show what community pride looks like. This is a neighborhood filled with people who are welcoming, generous, community-minded, and deeply proud of the place they call home.
One of my favorite parts of publishing Greet Corona del Mar is having the opportunity to tell the stories behind the people, families, businesses, and traditions that make this community so special. From longtime residents to new neighbors, from local events to everyday acts of kindness, the sense of connection here is truly something extraordinary.
As we celebrate five years of Greet Corona del Mar, I want to personally thank every resident, advertiser, contributor, and community partner who has helped make this publication possible. Your trust, enthusiasm, and support have allowed us to continue sharing the stories that connect neighbors and strengthen our community. It is truly an honor to help tell the stories that celebrate the people, traditions, and milestones that make Corona del Mar so special.
Wishing you a wonderful summer and a happy Independence Day.
