Harbor View Makes Memories This Summer

Congratulations to the Harbor View Class of 2026!

With another school year in the books, Harbor View Elementary students traded classroom time for sun-filled days, camps, and summer activities. Before heading into vacation mode, the school community gathered to celebrate the graduation of the 6th-grade class of 2026. The 6th-grade class celebrated the last week of school with the heated tradition of a parents versus kids kickball game, beach party, and a heartfelt graduation ceremony. The HV community sent them on to middle school with encouragement, cherished memories, and friendships that will last well beyond elementary school.

Harbor View families are making the most of everything the season has to offer. For many students, that means joining the Junior Guards program, where they learn valuable ocean safety skills while building confidence, endurance, and teamwork alongside Newport Beach Lifeguards. Others are filling their calendars with surf camps, sailing, creative arts programs, tennis, and other adventures that keep them active and having fun throughout the break.

Of course, some of the best summer moments happen in between the scheduled activities. Gathering at CYC Grant Howald Park for spontaneous games, bike riding around town, watching the huge swell at Lookout Point, gelato meet-ups, and more, local kids are embracing the simple joys of being young. In Corona del Mar, beach days remain a favorite tradition, with families spending hours by the water enjoying the sunshine, waves, and endless opportunities for fun.

Summer has always been a magical chapter of childhood, and our Harbor View Vikings are making the most of every moment. These photos capture just a glimpse of the adventures, friendships, and memories being made this season. They serve as a wonderful reminder of how fortunate we are to call this vibrant beach community home.
