About the Founder
Aspen Tennis Academy was established in 2012 by Ashlee B. Gardner. Ashlee has immense passion for the game of tennis and has been teaching tennis for 24 years. Ashlee’s dedication and success as a student-athlete and a professional tennis coach has solidified her level of coaching. Her love for tennis and her passion for coaching are on display every time she steps onto the court.
Ashlee competed at the Division I level as a collegiate athlete. During her four-year career at Southern Utah University, Ashlee had a career record of 63-3 and received the Most Valuable Player Award and led as team captain.
History & Mission
Aspen Tennis Academy has grown an amazing community in Fulshear over the last 12 years and has received The Best of Fulshear Award for 2023, 2024 and 2025. Aspen Tennis has Top Juniors and Adults in Texas competing at the Academy. The Women's and Men's programs have had many first-place finishes in their divisions in the USTA, WHLTA and HLTA Leagues. Aspen Tennis Academy has also begun many players’ career path in tennis and has the honor to coach Top Juniors in the state of Texas.

Coach Ashlee has a gift for teaching and sharing her passion for the game of tennis with every student she steps on court with. She creates an immense love and passion for tennis in her students. Ashlee’s encouragement is incredible—her positivity is contagious, and her coaching combines both technical instruction and heartfelt support.
Community Connection
Aspen Tennis Academy has partnered with Cross Creek Ranch for 12 years, helping create an incredible tennis community. They offer lessons for all ages—from age 5 through high school—and have taught over 6,000 residents in the Fulshear area.
Aspen has hosted guest coaches from the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain and Stanford University, bringing elite expertise to the community. The Academy has also given back through charity tournaments and camps, including a charity camp at Alief High School. Aspen continues to support local elementary and high schools, sponsoring and serving on athletic boards to strengthen athletics for all youth.
Overcoming Challenges
Aspen Tennis Academy attributes its growth and success to its long-standing partnership with Cross Creek Ranch, which began in 2012 thanks to Rob Bamford. This partnership has allowed thousands of residents the opportunity to learn tennis and has helped foster one of the greatest tennis communities in Texas.

Aspen Tennis Academy has a big vision ahead for the community and is excited to pursue its first steps in making that vision come together. The Academy is working toward something truly rewarding for all community members.
