Back Nine Golf - GRAND OPENING!

Creating a Place for Golf, Family, and Community

My name is Keaton Henson, and my wife, Brenda, and I are the owners of Back Nine Golf. Outside of the business, we’re proud parents of three boys — twin boys who are almost four years old and our newest addition, who is just two months old. Life at home is busy in the best way possible, and between work and family, there’s never a dull moment.
Like many parents, our schedules revolve around family, work, and everything that comes with raising young kids. As much as I’ve always loved the game of golf, finding five or six hours to play a full round became harder and harder. That challenge is something many golfers can relate to, and it’s ultimately what led to the idea behind Back Nine Golf.
I started thinking about how golf could fit more naturally into modern, busy lifestyles while still creating a place where people could gather, compete, and enjoy the game together.
A big part of the mission behind Back Nine Golf also comes from something I read recently that really stuck with me: by the time your kids turn eighteen, you’ve already spent about 80% of the time you’ll ever have with them. That perspective makes you think differently about how you spend the time you do have.
Golf is one of the few games that truly spans generations. It’s something you can play with your kids when they’re young and still enjoy decades later. Because of the handicap system, a parent, child, and even grandparent can all compete on the same course. But beyond the competition, golf creates something even more valuable — long stretches of time together where conversations happen naturally and memories are made. My hope is that Back Nine Golf becomes a place where families can introduce their kids to the game early and build those kinds of lifelong traditions together.
Back Nine Golf is a semi-private indoor golf simulator facility designed to make the game more accessible and flexible for today’s busy lifestyles. It’s a place where golf never sleeps. Members enjoy 24/7 access, while public tee times are available during daylight hours for non-members who want to experience the technology and atmosphere.
Inside our simulator bays, golfers can practice with detailed swing and ball data or play full rounds on many of the world’s most famous courses. Whether someone wants to work on their game, compete with friends, or simply enjoy a casual round, the experience is designed to be both realistic and fun.
To deliver the most immersive experience possible, we chose Full Swing simulators, the same technology used by many of the world’s top professional golfers. Full Swing is also the official simulator technology used in TGL, the indoor golf league created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, and our simulators will feature those same virtual courses.
When we designed Back Nine Golf, we wanted it to feel less like a commercial venue and more like a neighborhood golf clubhouse. Our semi-private model keeps the environment comfortable and never overcrowded, while still allowing members to bring guests and share the experience. The flexibility is also unique — golfers can play whenever it fits their schedule.
Our goal is to create a place where neighbors connect through the game of golf. We’re excited to host leagues, friendly competitions, and social events that bring people together while making golf more approachable for players of all skill levels.
We’ve also partnered with First Tee, a nonprofit organization that introduces young people to the game of golf while teaching important life skills like confidence, perseverance, and sportsmanship. As part of that partnership, we offer discounted memberships for First Tee participants so they can continue practicing and developing their game in a fun and supportive environment.
One of the biggest challenges in launching Back Nine Golf has been introducing people to a concept many haven’t experienced before. Indoor golf technology has come a long way, but until someone steps into the simulator and hits their first shot, it’s hard to fully understand how realistic it is. Seeing people experience it for the first time — and their excitement when they realize how accurate and fun it is — has been one of the most rewarding parts of launching the business.
Right now, our focus is on building a strong community of members who see Back Nine Golf as their go-to place to play and practice. We’re especially excited about our Grand Opening on May 2, where we’ll celebrate the launch of the facility and welcome the community to experience it firsthand.
We initially offered 20% off lifetime memberships to our first 20 Founding Members, and the response from the community was incredibly positive. Because of that support, we’ve decided to continue offering Founding Memberships at 15% off lifetime memberships through our Grand Opening on May 2 for those who want to be part of the club from the beginning.
At the end of the day, Back Nine Golf was built with the community in mind. Whether someone is an experienced golfer looking to improve or a beginner simply looking to have fun, our goal is to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
Life moves quickly, especially when raising a family, so my biggest piece of advice is simple: make time for experiences that bring people together. Whether that’s golf or something else you enjoy with family and friends, those moments often become the memories that last the longest.
What Members Are Saying
“Back Nine Golf has quickly become one of my favorite places to practice and hang out with friends. The simulators are incredibly realistic, and it’s the perfect way to squeeze in a round when you don’t have time for the course.”
