Meet Cookie and Roomba

Your new furry friend may be just around the corner, courtesy of Project Second Chance

Cookie is a 1 1/2-year-old Poodle mix who came to Project Second Chance (PSC) in heartbreaking condition. She was rescued from a flea market where she was being sold—filthy, matted, underweight and clearly neglected. It was evident she had spent much of her young life confined to a crate. Those days are now behind her.

Today, Cookie is fully recovered, healthy and absolutely bursting with love. At about 16 pounds fully grown, she is playful, affectionate and happiest curled up in your lap. She adores other dogs, loves children and greets every person she meets with joy.

Cookie is especially known for her sweet “hugs” and her love of cuddling. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, where she can play freely and enjoy the safe, happy life she’s waited so patiently for.

Roomba is a five-month-old Basset Hound puppy with floppy ears, soulful eyes and an endless love for life. She came to PSC after being purchased from a breeder and then abandoned—but this little girl is a true survivor with the happiest outlook.
Now healthy and thriving, Roomba is ready to focus on what matters most: being a joyful Basset Hound. She loves to play, cuddle, and follow her nose wherever it leads—especially outdoors.
Because Basset Hounds are famous for their sniffing adventures, a fenced yard is recommended so Roomba can safely explore. She’s eager to find a forever home where she can soak up affection, enjoy puppyhood, and live her very best life.
