Volunteer with the Whole Family
Del Ray neighbors, the giving season is back!

Volunteer Alexandria (VolALX) will be hosting our annual Family Volunteer Day on November 22. This day of service celebrates families as you define it and allows people of all ages to experience how a small positive act can make a significant difference. Families of all sizes are encouraged to volunteer. Activities include creating wrapping paper and decorations for the annual Toy Drive, and other fun and meaningful activities for the whole family. Visit https://www.volunteeralexandria.org/family to register.
Every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this Global Day of Service celebrates the power of families who work together to support our community, and we invite you to be part of it.
By volunteering, even the youngest child learns how a small positive act can make a significant difference by showing empathy, kindness and gratitude to others.
600 Families Registered within 16 Minutes to Receive FREE New Toys and we Need Your
Help to Serve Them!
In the first few days of family registration, 859 family members are confirmed to receive free new toys.
Approximately half of them will receive toys through the City's Holiday Sharing program. The other half will
receive NEW toys, books, and games through Toys4ALX, VolALX’s community-wide toy donation drive. Toys
will benefit the families registered with Fund for Alexandria’s Child, other agencies in need, and low-income
working families not registered with an agency.
Most likely, over 700 children, ages 0 - 10-years, need NEW UNWRAPPED toys. Meaning, we need to collect at
least 3,500 toys so that every child receives three items.
The drive starts on Nov. 17 and ends on Dec. 10, and we need the help of our community to make this
happen. Scan the QR code to register.
