In April 2024, Janet Deltuva, A Fair Oaks Ranch resident, highlighted the non-profit United States War Dogs Association and told us about her Book Project to benefit this organization, which provided medical care for her two retired military dogs. Janet emphasized the association’s focus on providing this vital veterinary care at no cost to the people who adopted the dogs, as the government medical support ends when they retire, despite their years of service to the nation.
Janet, owner of Ares & Emzy Pet Photography, completed her second book, “The Tails of the Hill Country: A Dogs’ Adventure Guide,” in November 2024. She sold 260 books and raised $33,000 through sponsorships and book sales. Javelina Harley Davidson on IH-10 West, an unwavering sponsor, hosted book events, provided food and beverages, and donated money to the project.
