Meet the Sepulveda Family

Entrepreneurial, Community-Minded, and Fair Oaks Proud

If you ever drive down Fair Oaks Parkway on a Saturday afternoon and smell slow-smoked brisket drifting through the air, chances are it’s coming from the backyard of Jaime and Kathy Sepulveda. For this tight-knit, adventurous family, a 15-hour brisket smoke isn’t just about great barbecue, it’s about making a whole day of it. Friends drop by, music fills the air, and laughter carries well into the evening.

Jaime and Kathy moved to Fair Oaks Ranch in May 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. “We fell in love with the neighborhood during a charity golf tournament at Fair Oaks Country Club,” Jaime recalls. “I remember seeing families laughing under the Texas stars and thinking, why isn’t my family here?” By the end of that week, the decision was made, Fair Oaks Ranch would be home.

Originally from Mexico, Jaime’s parents, Jaime Sr. and Mara, made the courageous move to the U.S. in search of opportunity for their two boys. “That experience shaped everything for me,” Jaime says. “Having lived in a country without the same freedoms or opportunities, I feel it’s our duty to protect what we have and set the example for the next generation in this beautiful country.”

That next generation is represented by their son, Jaime III, a bright and active sixth grader at Boerne Middle School South. He’s part of the Fair Oaks Sharks swim team and the Jr. PGA golf league and can usually be found biking from one friend’s house to another. One of his favorite perks of home life? Having his grandparents living in the casita. “If I don’t like what’s for dinner, I go see what the Guellos are having,” he jokes.

Kathy has proudly served at USAA for over 18 years in Bank Quality Control, a role she loves because it allows her to serve veterans and their families. “Supporting those who’ve served our country means everything to me,” she says. Jaime, a real estate broker and investor, is the founder of Strategic Property Management, where he helps clients build wealth through real estate. “I see myself as a broker helping others achieve financial freedom,” he explains. “When our clients win, our community grows stronger.”

Jaime’s life philosophy, grounded in Stoic principles, shapes how he lives and leads: “The purpose of life is to grow in wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance—to love deeply, serve generously, and leave every person and place stronger than before.” That same mindset fuels his leadership roles in the Fair Oaks Rotary Club, Boerne100, and BISD community programs, where he’s known for rolling up his sleeves and getting involved.

The Sepulvedas are not just residents, they’re contributors. From youth leadership to philanthropy, the family’s presence is felt across Fair Oaks. Even young Jaime joins in community service projects like Adopt-A-Highway, the BISD Resource Rally, and Breakfast with Santa, helping families in need during the holidays.

For Jaime and Kathy, family and community go hand in hand. “We’re entrepreneurial and driven,” Jaime says, “but we’re also laid-back and community minded. We work hard, give back, and make sure we’re enjoying the ride.”

If their life in Fair Oaks Ranch had a headline, it would read:
“Every Day in Fair Oaks Ranch Feels Like a Vacation.”

And while the Sepulvedas dream of one day taking a month-long family trip through Europe, they’re in no rush. “We’re exactly where we’re meant to be, with good people, big Texas skies, and a community that feels like family.”
