Happy 50th Anniversary FORHA
FORHA held its 50th Anniversary Celebration on Sept. 6th, 2025, at Cibolo Creek Community Church, who worked with the FORHA Communications Committee to plan and prepare the venue. The rain might have dampened the church grounds, but it didn't dampen the attendees' spirits! Members came out to enjoy a BBQ, served by Bill Miller, paletas & cake as well as enjoy some music and meet with several of the event sponsors and the FORHA office staff. Bill Miller prepared 650 BBQ and chicken plates; 450 plates were served on site, 70 plates to go, with the remainder donated to the police and the volunteer workers.
The continued rain caused most of the outside activities to be curtailed/moved inside. The tables were set for an outside BBQ, but due to the rain the feast was moved inside to the sanctuary. A few determined kiddos gave the bounce house a go, and a handful were able to walk the trail for the planned scavenger hunt. Those few were soggy but happy as they returned successful. A video/slideshow was continuously shown, highlighting many neighbors who were around during or soon after FORHA's founding.
FORHA was honored during the 50th Anniversary Celebration by Mayor Maxton. During the event, Mayor Maxton presented a City Proclamation to the FORHA President that highlights our ranch's history and the pivotal role FORHA played in our ranch before ultimately becoming a city.
