The Reigelsperger Family

We are the Reigelsperger family, Matt and Victoria, and our two boys Henry (6) and Teddy (3½). Our family wouldn’t be complete without our doodle pup, Wilson, who keeps us all entertained. We moved to Fair Oaks Ranch in 2018 from Seattle. We absolutely love it here. We knew we didn’t want to raise our kids in Seattle and were drawn to the beauty of the Hill Country, the charm of Fair Oaks Ranch, and most of all the people. From the moment we moved in, neighbors went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home.

Matt and I met through mutual friends shortly after we graduated undergrad and have been together ever since. Over the years we’ve moved around a bit, but Fair Oaks Ranch is the place that has truly felt like home for our family.

Henry is six and in kindergarten at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary. He loves playing soccer and is also learning piano. Teddy is three and a half and attends preschool at Messiah. He’s currently obsessed with monster trucks and dinosaurs.

Matt attended Purdue University where he studied political science, and then attended law school at St. Thomas in Minneapolis. He is now a cybersecurity attorney and also serves as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the Army Reserves. Victoria received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Washington and then attended George Washington University for advanced training to become a nurse practitioner and works as a primary care nurse practitioner in Boerne.

We have a mini goldendoodle named Wilson. He’s very much part of the family and loves playing with the boys and going on walks around the neighborhood.

Henry brings a love of music and sports to the family with piano and soccer. Teddy brings nonstop energy and imagination thanks to his love of dinosaurs and monster trucks. Matt is passionate about public service and law, especially through his work in cybersecurity and the Army Reserves. I love health and wellness through my work as a nurse practitioner and spending time with our family exploring Boerne and the Hill Country.

We love celebrating holidays as a family and taking part in neighborhood traditions. One of our favorite moments each year is when Santa comes through the neighborhood at Christmas and the boys get to see him. Summer evenings at the club with friends are another favorite family tradition.

We love trying different lunch spots in Boerne and spending time outdoors around the Hill Country. The club in the summer is one of our favorite places to relax and spend time with friends. We love getting ice cream at Parker’s after dinner; the boys always order Cookie Monster ice cream and Victoria gets classic chocolate. During the holidays we visit the Jones Christmas Ranch regularly to look at the lights. We also enjoy getting together with neighbors and spending time with other families, especially during the summer at the club or neighborhood holiday events.

We try to be the kind of neighbors that welcomed us when we first arrived—getting to know people, supporting local events, and building friendships with the families around us. One of our favorite memories is when we first moved in and so many neighbors came by to introduce themselves and bring food. It was such a warm welcome and very different from what we experienced in Seattle. When each of our boys was born, our neighbors also showered us with kindness and support. The sense of community here is truly special and our favorite part of living in Fair Oaks Ranch.

There are so many wonderful local spots in Fair Oaks Ranch. We highly recommended Parker’s Ice Cream and Spotted Deer Coffee. Our local businesses truly bring the charm to our community, and everyone is always super friendly. We always enjoy discovering new local restaurants and businesses around town.
