Since opening the practice, Dr. Monica McCrary has built a reputation for combining advanced medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with personalized care, lasting relationships, and a commitment to treating every patient with compassion and respect.

From the beginning, Dr. McCrary envisioned a practice where patients would never feel like just another appointment. That same philosophy is what drew Dr. Emily Jacox to Cibolo Creek Dermatology Group. Together, they share a commitment to evidence-based medicine, thoughtful care, and building relationships that last for generations.

For Dr. Emily Jacox, joining Cibolo Creek Dermatology Group is more than the next step in her career—it's a homecoming. A lifelong Texan, Dr. Jacox earned her undergraduate degree through the Plan II Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin before receiving her Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her Internal Medicine internship at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and her Dermatology Residency at the University of Central Florida, where she served as Chief Resident.

Although her education and medical training took her from Austin to Houston and Florida, she and her husband always knew they wanted to return home to Texas. Today, they're proud to be raising their two young children in Boerne, where they've chosen to put down roots and become part of the community they love.

For Emily, returning home to Texas is about more than where she practices medicine. She understands the importance of having physicians you know, trust, and feel comfortable with, and she's honored to care for patients and families throughout the Hill Country—the community her own family now calls home.

She provides comprehensive medical and surgical dermatology, with special interests in skin cancer detection and treatment, acne, rosacea, hair loss, and skin surgery. She believes exceptional dermatologic care begins with listening, educating, and partnering with each patient to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to their goals and lifestyle.

Dr. Jacox is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Texas Dermatology Society and remains committed to staying current with advances in dermatologic care while providing the warm, relationship-centered care that has become a hallmark of Cibolo Creek Dermatology Group.
