Snack-O: The Balloon-Chasing Bulldog with a Heart of Gold

Some dogs fetch balls. Snack-O prefers balloons.

An Olde English Bulldog with a larger-than-life personality, Snack-O has become the beloved center of his family's home. His unusual name comes from Air Force slang. In flying squadrons, the "Snack-O," short for Snack Officer, is responsible for keeping the snacks, popcorn machine, and refreshments stocked. It's usually a job assigned to the newest officer, making it a fittingly humorous name for a dog who keeps everyone entertained.

After the family's previous bulldog passed away, they knew another bulldog would eventually find a place in their hearts. Known for being honest, funny, tenacious, and sweet, bulldogs are a perfect fit for their family. When they found Snack-O, it was clear he belonged. Described as "the kindest, funniest, most lovable bulldozer," Snack-O has a talent for making people laugh. One of his funniest habits is carrying toys by one end, making it look as though he's casually smoking a cigar. If he could talk, his family imagines he'd say, "I love you so much," followed closely by, "Has anybody seen my balloon?"

His favorite game is "Keepy Uppy." Give Snack-O a balloon, and he'll spend hours batting it into the air, happily playing by himself until he's completely exhausted. The energetic bulldog is also notorious for chasing children on the family's backyard zip line. If he's feeling especially determined, he'll grab the rope and leave riders stranded midair. He even solved the mystery of several mysteriously flattened tetherballs when his family caught him sneaking outside to play tetherball by himself.

Snack-O shares his home with a cat named Tom, who usually wins their playful battles thanks to age, wisdom, and sharp claws. Though he loves everyone, his strongest bond is with his owner, who helped nurse him through a serious illness as a puppy. Since then, Snack-O has earned the family nickname "Stage Five Clinger"—a title he wears proudly, right alongside his reputation as the world's happiest balloon enthusiast.
