THE GANESH FAMILY has long shared a deep bond with their beloved Labrador retriever, Zach. For the past eight years, the family of three—along with their four-legged companion—has called their neighborhood home, where Zach has quickly become a local favorite. Zach joined the family in June 2019 as a week-old puppy from a breeder in Lakeville, MA. From the very first moment they laid eyes on him, with his playful demeanor and beautiful eyes, it was love at first sight.
An English Black Lab, Zach is now 5 years and 9 months old. His arrival fulfilled their son’s wish for a Labrador companion, and ever since that day, the family has grown even closer with each wag of his tail. Known for his unique antics, Zach never fails to entertain. He can perform tricks like sitting, standing, and pretending to sleep, and he even knows how to knock on the door with his nose. His affectionate nature shines through when he delivers quick kisses to his mom, dad, and brother— each one as endearing as the last. Beyond his tricks, Zach exhibits an unexpected talent on the basketball court, eagerly joining his brother and friends in spirited games and showcasing his playful skills. He’s also a master of hide-and-seek, proving that his fun-loving nature extends well beyond simple tricks.
One of Zach’s most memorable moments came during a family boat ride at a local resort. For hours, he sat calmly, taking in the ride—his family’s first clue that he is, in fact, a fan of boating. His selective barking, reserved only for signaling a walk, playtime, or an open door, never fails to bring smiles to neighbors of all ages.
A well-known character in the neighborhood, Zach is famous for his daily walks, where he eagerly greets his friends, and for Halloween, when he joyfully dashes through the streets in charming costumes. Alongside his family, Zach has fully embraced the spirit of the neighborhood, frequenting local strolls, amenities, and businesses while building friendships one walk and treat at a time. Like his family, he is adventurous and brave, with a love for camping and hiking. With his affectionate and playful spirit, this fruit-loving, squeaky toy enthusiast continues to bring joy to his family and neighbors alike.
