Julie's Chocolate Chips, LLC, baked with love in Hummelstown, was founded by Julie Isaacson 15 years ago. Julie initially brought the cookies to gatherings and gave them as gifts and her friends loved them. As her children grew older, instead of going back to work, Julie became an entrepreneur and created Julie’s Chocolate Chips, LLC.

     Licensed and inspected by the PA Department of Agriculture, the cookies are scratch-made in Julie's Hummelstown home. Julie and part-time employee, Maggie Kutz, enjoy baking cookies for local delivery, shipping, and hand picked local retailers. Julie and Maggie take custom orders for parties, weddings, corporate client gifts or just to send some "Cookie Love”. Labels for many occasions create a unique experience for every cookie customer. In February, Julie’s Chocolate Chips offers the “heart” shaped cookie for Valentine’s Day.

     Shipping a quality product was one of the biggest challenges for Julie. The freshness of the cookie depends on that. The UPS store in Hummelstown provided a local, dependable, cost efficient and flexible option for Julie’s Chocolate Chips. For customers shipping cookie care

packages, the cookies are shipped two day ground via UPS to ensure freshness.

     Community involvement is always important to Julie and she donates to many local charities. She is involved with 3.21 For Life, a non-profit organization that supports local programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Julie states, "It has been an honor to donate my time and supply fresh cookies to this organization’s annual event held on 3.21”.

     Julie and Jon moved to Hershey/Hummelstown 25 years ago and raised their two sons, Sam (27) and Henry (26). They love being within driving distance to their families, enjoy the fabulous friends they have made and being part of a wonderful community.
