For the Prantils’, home is more than a place—it is a legacy built across generations, a table that always seems to expand, and a community they continue to cherish. With a blended family of eight adult children, twelve grandchildren, and one more on the way, Leslie and Bob's lives are full, joyful, and centered on the moments that bring everyone back together.

The family’s connection to Hershey runs deep. Leslie’s father, Dr. Joseph DiBlasio, is the son of Italian immigrants, grew up in town, where both his parents worked for Milton Hershey in the original chocolate factory. After retiring from the factory, her grandfather continued caring for the beauty of the town through his work at the Hershey Rose Garden, now Hershey Gardens. In 1967, after college, Joseph returned home to open an oral surgery practice, and Hershey has remained the family’s anchor ever since. Leslie's mother Marge, fondly known as Mimi, was a nurse by trade and went back to work after the DiBlasio kids were all grown. Mimi still lives in Hershey and is famous for her chocolate chip cookies. The DiBlasio's had five daughters who grew up in Hershey--Lisa, Leslie and Linda (twins), Lori and Leigh Ann. When Leslie married Bob Prantil, who grew up in Queens, New York, the couple built their life together here—blending not only families, but histories and traditions.

That spirit of connection also shapes Leslie’s work. After many years in the event industry as a sales manager for weddings, corporate functions, and social events in Lancaster County, Leslie developed a gift for helping people celebrate life’s milestones with warmth and style. Today, Leslie channels that sensibility into her own small business and a lifestyle newsletter centered on recipes, travel, entertaining, and the beauty of everyday life. Bob, meanwhile, works as a commercial leader in the energy industry. Together, they have created a home life that reflects both hospitality and intention—one where special gatherings are still very much part of the rhythm of the year. The Prantils love their beautiful Landmark Home in the Willow Creek Farms community, Hummelstown, and make good use of the exceptional backyard, patio and pool living space designed by Jeff Hummel with Hummel's Landscaping. It is the gathering place for their large--and still growing--family.

With children and grandchildren spread from Colorado to Hershey to Germany, togetherness is never taken for granted. Most celebrations happen around a table, with home-cooked meals, long conversations, and the kind of laughter that only comes when everyone is under one roof. In a family this large, there is always something to celebrate, and over the years, traditions such as Christmas gingerbread houses, summer cookouts, family beach vacations, birthdays, and holiday dinners have become the touchstones of family life. Whether the gathering is elaborate or simple, the meaning is the same: being home together is the real occasion.

When they are not traveling, the family enjoys the everyday pleasures that make Hershey feel so special. Weekend hikes around The Hotel Hershey, coffee from Desserts Etc., and breakfast at First Watch downtown are simple favorites. Summer often means dining outdoors at Chocolate Avenue Grill, while a celebratory steak dinner at Revelry Chophouse is always welcome. Time with the grandchildren often includes visits to Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, and Chocolate World, and they never lose sight of how rare it is to have so much entertainment and culture close to home, from concerts at Hersheypark Stadium to performances at Hershey Theatre and events at GIANT Center.

Community has always been more than a backdrop to family life—it is something they actively nurture. One organization especially close to their hearts is Radiant Hope, which supports and encourages people whose lives have been affected by cancer. Their connection became personal during Leslie's daughter’s breast cancer journey, when the family received a care package from the organization. Since then, giving back has become part of their own family tradition. Each Christmas, Leslie and Bob sponsor a local family affected by cancer, purchasing, wrapping, and delivering holiday gifts as a tangible way to offer comfort, dignity, and hope during a difficult season.

Some of Leslie’s favorite memories are stitched into Hershey’s history itself: touring the original Hershey’s Chocolate Factory as a child, receiving a souvenir packet with hot cocoa and a chocolate bar, riding the monorail from Chocolate Avenue around the park, and stopping at The Hershey Drugstore for a cherry Coke. These are the kinds of memories that turn a hometown into part of a person’s identity. What Leslie loves most about Hershey today is that same enduring sense of tradition and belonging. With family roots here spanning generations, the town remains a place where the past feels lovingly present—and where home continues to mean something deeply personal.
