Anne Hodge: Where Strategy Meets Service
In communities where neighborhood knowledge and personal connection matter, Anne Hodge has established herself as a trusted presence in the western suburbs’ real estate market. As a principal agent with Compass. Anne Hodge serves La Grange, Western Springs, and surrounding “train town” communities with a highly personalized, consultative approach—one shaped by both long-standing experience and a genuine love for the area she calls home.
Anne’s real estate career began in Chicago, where she entered the industry in 2002. When her family relocated to La Grange in 2013, she rebuilt her business from the ground up. Today, she lives and works in the community she serves, a distinction she believes makes a meaningful difference for her clients. “I love living here,” Anne says. “I think my enthusiasm for the area really resonates with people and gets them excited about making a move.”
Anne works across a wide range of price points, but she is particularly known for her expertise in the luxury market. Her clients include move-up buyers, downsizers, and those relocating to the area—each with distinct needs and priorities. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, Anne tailors her strategy to each individual home and transaction. “Every home is unique, and their marketing plan should be as well,” she explains.
That level of customization is especially critical in today’s market. Anne notes that the western suburbs continue to attract strong buyer demand thanks to walkable downtowns, excellent schools, and easy access to Chicago via commuter rail. At the same time, low inventory has created a highly competitive environment—one where preparation and timing are essential. “It’s never too soon to prepare,” Anne advises. “Getting an early start helps reduce stress and allows sellers to time the market correctly.”
Clients often cite Anne’s attention to detail and communication style as defining features of her work. She prides herself on providing concierge-level service, acting as a consultant rather than simply a salesperson. While she has team support, Anne remains the primary point of contact throughout the process. “I want everyone to feel like they’re my only client,” she says.
Anne’s commitment to the community extends beyond real estate. She recently sponsored the La Grange Witches Ride and is an ongoing supporter of Winning with Wyatt, an organization dedicated to funding pediatric brain tumor research. Giving back, she says, is an important part of doing business locally.
While Anne approaches real estate with professionalism and care, she also believes the experience doesn’t have to feel impersonal. “It’s a very serious process, but I like to have fun when it’s appropriate,” she says. “Seeing clients again around town—at a coffee shop or downtown—is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.”
With deep local insight, a client-first philosophy, and a clear passion for the communities she serves, Anne Hodge continues to guide buyers and sellers through the real estate process with confidence, clarity, and care.
