Sunshine, Sidewalks & Strong Coffee

Connor and Katie Lynn Eller are building meaningful rhythms — and raising their little outdoorsman — right here in Lake Highlands

In the L-Streets of Lake Highlands, you’ll likely spot Connor and Katie Lynn Eller out for a walk — often with coffee in hand and their two-year-old son, Sunny B, leading the way.

Connor is the Lead Doctor and Co-Founder of Someday Soon Chiropractic, and Katie Lynn serves as Operations Manager and Co-Founder. Together, they’ve built both a business and a life centered on family and generational health. “We believe families heal together,” they share, a philosophy that carries into both their work and their home.

The Ellers have lived in the neighborhood for two and a half years, moving from McKinney after earlier seasons in Atlanta and several cities across the country during Connor’s years playing professional baseball. Both are graduates of Ouachita Baptist University, where Connor played baseball and Katie Lynn ran cross country. Connor is originally from Sherwood, Arkansas, and Katie Lynn from Frisco, Texas — but today, 75238 is home.

Family rhythms are important to the Ellers. They describe themselves as “a running family,” often heading out together for walks to pray, reset, and check in. They observe a full Sabbath day each week — a time to rest, worship, delight, and simply be together. Coffee is practically a love language in their home, and baseball runs deep in their story.

When it comes to traditions, Christmas is their “Super Bowl.” Each year they create a full living-room sleepover palette and wake up to homemade sourdough cinnamon rolls. Birthdays are equally celebrated with intention and joy. “If it’s quality time, we’re all in,” they say.

For now, Sunny B spends his days outdoors — exploring, moving, and soaking up fresh air. While he’s still too young for organized sports, his parents are already dreaming of t-ball and cheering on their little lefty hitter and future pitcher.

The family attends Eastside Community Church, where they serve in the preschool ministry and participate in a weekly home group. “We’re grateful for the people we get to do life with — the beautiful and messy and unknown,” they share.

They love that Lake Highlands offers a blend of young families and longtime residents, creating a grounded and welcoming feel. Their advice for newcomers? Don’t hesitate to introduce yourself — on a walk, at school drop-off, at church, or in a coffee shop. “People want community just as much as you do.”

You can find the Ellers enjoying a run around White Rock Lake, dinner at Goodfriend Package or Resident Taqueria, or a date night that includes a latte from Cultivar and a stop at Hudson House. At home, chili or a nourishing soup is a family favorite, and baseball loyalties are split between the Toronto Blue Jays and Texas Rangers.

For the Ellers, life is simple: fresh air, strong coffee, meaningful community, and time together.
