Look Your Best On The Go!

We all know self-care is essential, but sometimes self-care looks like getting ready in the car (safely, of course).

When I need to get myself put together and looking awake, I need these three things: concealer, mascara, and a little cream blusher -- also great for doubling as a lip color.

When packing a makeup-on-the-go bag, ask yourself, "What are my usual main concerns?" Dark circles, barely-there lashes, sallow skin? Once you know your primary concern, grab that one product and add the following product to your second concern, and so on. Some women can just throw their hair up, apply red lipstick with a dab of mascara, and that is 100% enough for them.

Here are my product suggestions for an easy, quick, yet put-together and polished look.

*Concealer - this one product is game-changing for anyone struggling with darkness under the eyes. Use this for any spot concealing, i.e., around the nose, blemishes, or discoloration that bothers you.

*Eyelash curler + Mascara - Just curling your lashes alone makes you look more alert. Throwing on some mascara gives the eyes a little more definition - an instant "I'm awake and ready to take on the world!"

*Bronzer - adds warmth with a healthy glow. Also great for a soft sculpting contour. Apply a little around the hairline, cheeks, and jawline while blending into the neck.

*Cream blusher - cream blusher can seem intimidating, but it's so easy and foolproof, I promise. Use your middle and ring finger, gently press into cream blush, and press onto the top of your cheekbone, working up towards your temple. Then add a little to your lips, and top off with lip balm or a gloss.

Want to take your on-the-go look from day to night?
Add one swipe of a stick eyeshadow like my favorite from Trestique, which also has a built-in brush, and/or try a bolder or brighter lipstick. You may need to apply more blush when using a more daring color on the lips.
