FEBRUARY – The Krumholz Family
The Krumholz family brings plenty of fun and heart to Lakewood, balancing busy careers, active kids, and a deep love for their neighborhood. Between youth sports, school involvement, Todd’s Super Bowl ties, and their famously funny holiday cards, life with the Krumholzs is never dull—and always rooted in community.

MARCH – The McDonald Family
With five daughters and endless energy, the McDonald family fills their Lakewood home with faith, music, and meaningful traditions. From piano sing-alongs and neighborhood walks to gymnastics, antique car rides, and giving back, their days are busy, joyful, and deeply connected to the place they’re proud to call home.

APRIL – The Larkin Family
Ben and Emily Larkin have made Lakewood home through everyday moments and favorite traditions, from neighborhood “ride-runs” to hosting a much-loved Fourth of July swim party. Whether volunteering, exploring local spots, or chasing their toddler Stella around the neighborhood, they’ve found a place that fits their family perfectly.

MAY – Leigh Sendra
Longtime Lakewood resident and devoted mom Leigh Sendra is the founder of CHEW Animal Hospital, a mission-driven practice built on compassion, accessibility, and community care. Balancing a busy family life with a deep commitment to animal welfare, Leigh has created a welcoming space where pets—and the people who love them—truly feel at home.

JUNE – The McMahon Family
For the McMahon family, Lakewood isn’t just home—it’s a multigenerational legacy rooted in tradition, school pride, and community involvement. From their family’s role in founding the beloved Fourth of July Parade to decades of support for local schools and neighborhood events, they exemplify the red, white, and Lakewood spirit that continues to connect generations.

JULY – Lena Taylor
Lakewood’s own Lena Taylor capped off her time at J.L. Long Middle School by earning Female Athlete of the Year, a testament to her dedication, leadership, and versatility across multiple sports. From championship seasons and academic excellence to service work at home and abroad, Lena represents the very best of the Lakewood feeder pattern—and her journey is just getting started.

AUGUST – The Fisher Family
Cecilia Fisher and her sons, Christian and Charlie, fill their Velasco block with energy, laughter, and connection. From front-yard sports and family traditions to over-the-top Halloween fun and a strong commitment to giving back, the Fishers are a big-hearted reminder of what makes Lakewood feel like a true neighborhood.

SEPTEMBER – The Stewart Family
Jeremy and Lila Stewart, along with their children Aiden and Callan, have built a life in Lakewood that’s full of family fun, friendship, and community spirit. Whether playing basketball, pickleball, or giving back through their purpose-driven footwear brand (Hari Mari), the Stewarts enjoy staying active, exploring new places, and connecting with neighbors who feel like family.

OCTOBER – The Jesberg Family
Randy and Ellie Jesberg have called Lakewood home for nearly 30 years, raising their sons and creating countless memories along the way. From tennis and pickleball to cheering on the Mavericks, traveling to sun-soaked beaches and snowy mountains, and running Ellie’s custom menswear studio (J. Hilburn), the Jesbergs enjoy a busy, fun-loving life while staying deeply connected to their neighborhood.

NOVEMBER – The Cato Family
For Karrie and Bob Cato, gratitude and community go hand in hand. Raising their children Caroline and Bo in Lakewood, they balance busy family life with volunteering, local traditions, and neighborhood fun. From walks around White Rock Lake to supporting causes that matter, the Catos show that being part of the Lakewood community is about connection, giving back, and making every day feel like home.

DECEMBER – The Trent Family
Lori and Matthew Trent have called Lakewood home for 35 years, raising a family and growing beloved local businesses along the way. Between running The T Shop, enjoying White Rock Lake outings, keeping holiday traditions alive, and supporting community causes, the Trents are a true Lakewood family at heart—welcoming, active, and always adding a little extra warmth to the neighborhood.
