Tux and Tails: Meet Lakewood’s Dapper Pup

Hello there friend! My name is Tux, and I’m a 3-year-old mutt. I’m a mix of a cattle dog, a corgi, etc. My owners, the Mcilvains, found me on their neighbors’ porch. While their neighbors tried to get a leash on me, I ran into the Mcilvain's backyard. When Anna Mcilvain and her sisters got home, they were able to get me on a leash, and they took me to the vet to board me for the night. The next day, the Mcilvains adopted me into their family. The reason my name is Tux is because my whole chest is white and the rest of my body is black, so it always looks like I’m wearing a fancy tuxedo!

Something funny about me is that I carry around an egg bunny Jellycat in my mouth wherever I go. I also wait on top of the couch for the Mcilvains to get home, and then I run to them when they’re home. The Mcilvain’s oldest daughter loves my goofy personality. Their middle daughter loves how I follow her everywhere she goes. Anna Mcilvain’s mom loves when Anna gets home because I am so excited to see her! Anna’s dad loves how I play like a giant Great Dane.

My favorite thing to do is to carry around something in my mouth. From tennis balls to stray socks, I carry it all! I also love to go for walks and to wait for the Mcilvains to get home. A funny story about me is that one time, I tried to jump on the bed; however, I failed miserably and then fell back and hit the ground with a thud! Lastly, one little fact about me is that I am very scared of new people. Over time, I’ll warm up to them and be super cuddly though!

I am a very spoiled pet! The Mcilvain’s give me cuddles, love, and plenty of food! But I will only eat my food if the Mcilvains mix it with wet food. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about me! Bye for now!
