For nearly half a century, the Lakewood Home Tour has been one of our community’s most cherished traditions. Each November, neighbors and visitors step inside a curated collection of Lakewood’s most beautiful homes, taking in both historic charm and fresh design inspiration. Now in its 49th year, the tour is set for Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, with seven unique homes opening their doors - including one reserved for a special candlelight evening.
This year’s featured homes are:
- 7317 Dominique Drive
- 6801 La Vista Drive
- 6719 Bob O Link Drive
- 6635 Lakewood Boulevard
- 6630 Lakewood Boulevard
- 6927 Delrose Drive
- 7022 Merrilee Lane (candlelight tour only, Nov. 8)
At the helm is Lakewood neighbor Lauren Harrison, this year’s Home Tour Chair. A member of the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA (LECPTA) since 2021, Lauren has served in many roles. from committee member to docent to co-chair, before stepping into leadership for the 2025 tour.
Her role is no small task. Lauren - along with her co-chairs Whitney Huffman, Dorothy DiOrio,
Juliana Ziv and VP Shelby Doldson - works closely with homeowners to encourage
participation, guides a committee of more than 50 volunteers, and ensures every detail is in
place for a seamless weekend. “The Home Tour is about more than opening doors to beautiful
homes,” Lauren shares. “It’s about neighbors coming together to support our schools and our
community.”
Proceeds from the Home Tour benefit Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School, all part of the Lakewood feeder pattern in Dallas ISD. Thanks to decades of volunteer dedication and sponsor support, the tour has raised vital funds for local education while strengthening the spirit of the neighborhood.
Want To Get Involved? Volunteers are at the heart of Home Tour’s success. Opportunities include serving as a docent inside one of the homes, helping with check-in, or supporting subcommittees before and during the event. It’s a fun way to meet neighbors, contribute to local schools, and be part of a beloved tradition.
