Hello, human friends! I’m Bella, a Red Sable Havanese. It’s an honor to be your Pet of the Month! My family says that I’m the naughtiest dog in the world—what a nice compliment! I’m a two-year-old pup who spends most of her time begging for snacks and trying to charm my owners. Here’s my story!

It all started when my best friend asked for a dog for the three-hundred-and-sixth time. Finally, Mom and Dad said yes. My best friend wrote down 136 dog names and they voted on Bella. They picked me up on January 15th of 2023. As a way of greeting them, I threw up twice on their car seats! They were so happy. That’s how I got my fitting nickname of “Bellaster the Disaster!”

After we moved, I made a new friend. His name is Luca and he’s awesome. When we first met, we chased each other around the yard for a very long time. My humans couldn’t even catch me because I was so fast! Whenever I saw Luca and his humans by our house on a walk, I would bark to let him know I was there. I also made friends with a super-cool human, Emelia, who came to our house. She was having a sleepover with my best friend. Emelia was scared of dogs, but not of me! I melted her heart into a puddle of drool.

I soon began to realize that I wasn’t getting enough snuggles! I had to fix that. I began to paw at my humans when they weren’t giving me enough belly rubs. I would follow them around and flash them my signature puppy eyes. When they placed me in the dog pen, I jumped straight out! After that, they stopped using it—yay!

I may be a grown dog but I have infinite puppy energy. If it’s chasing birds or playfully barking at neighbors, I always make my humans smile! If you see me on a walk, be welcome to say hello! Thanks for choosing me as your Pet of the Month, humans!
