Jackson Lady Timberwolves Shine on the Lanes, Earn State Tournament Berth

"These bunch of girls are definitely unique as each day. Whether it is at practice or a match, they bring attitude, drama, frustration, and even excuses (LOL)! But what brings it all together and keeps the dynamics of the team going is their ENERGY. I just have to remind them why they are there, and that seems to get them wanting to do better. You can see that, just by their bowling averages. They all have improved, and I think they have FUN doing it." Coach Stephanie Ross

The Jackson Lady Timberwolves bowling team had an incredible season, proving that determination and teamwork can overcome any challenge. With a roster of just ten athletes—four returning players and six newcomers to the sport—the team may have been small, but they were undeniably mighty.

Led by captains Emmaline Beatty, returning for her second year as captain, and first-time captain Ashley Shim, the Lady Timberwolves demonstrated grit, skill, and camaraderie throughout the season. Their dedication paid off in clutch matches, culminating in a thrilling victory at the District 1 Tournament, earning them a spot at the State Tournament and the honor of representing Jackson High School at the highest level.

Beyond their achievements on the lanes, the team fostered an incredible sense of unity, with members describing their bond as a sisterhood. Their positive attitudes and unwavering support for one another made this season truly special.

As we look ahead to the 2025 winter season, we celebrate the athletes who helped bring Jackson to the state tournament:

  • Emmaline Beatty – Senior
  • Ashley Shim – Senior
  • Desi Jones – Junior
  • Emma Diep – Junior
  • Evelia Loesell – Freshman
  • Julia McCauley – Freshman
Congratulations to the Jackson Lady Timberwolves on an outstanding season! We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
