Meet Buckman Orthodontics
Born in Galveston while his Dad was in medical school, Dr. Brett Buckman grew up in Austin - a true Northwest Hills native! He attended Doss Elementary, Murchison Middle School, and graduated Salutatorian from Johnston High School. He went on to graduate as the Valedictorian from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree in 1997. After finishing hs thesis and receiving his Masters in Orthodontics in the Summer of 1999 he joined his father-in-law's practice in September 1999. The original office was on North Hills Drive across from the HEB in NW Hills. Today, Dr. Buckman has been practicing orthodontics for over 25 years!

Buckman Orthodontics is a full service Orthodontic office, treating people of all ages from 7 to 97. They treat crowding and bite issues in younger patients using a combination of expanders, partial braces, space maintainers, and retainers. For the adolescent and adult patient, they offer full orthodontic treatment using full braces, clear aligner treatment, or a combination of both.
Buckman Orthodontics is a team of 6 who work tirelessly to make each person in the practic feel like family. Dr. Buckman says, "Our office setting is calm and inviting. Walking through our front door, is like walking into a familiar living room. Our clinic area is open with plenty of room to sit and talk. We also have a game room for those who want flash back to the early arcade days. We love getting to know our patients and their families. It is not lost on us that we have the unique privilege of watching our patients grow up before our eyes. Being members of the community we cheer for them at sporting events, we hear about their graduations, we see them at neighborhood restaurants or walking their dog! We’ve even enjoyed some full circle moments when former patients bring their children to begin their orthodontic journey."
Dr. Buckman's NW Hills roots are at the forefront of his business. He says, "Our connection with the community is paramount and intentional. We have been able to serve our community throughout my 25 years in a variety of ways. We provide a place for our families to adopt angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree or donate items such as winter coats to support the Junior League of Austin’s annual Coats for Kids drive. We also set aside time throughout the year to volunteer in the community as a team supporting our local educators as well as community members experiencing hunger. We can’t speak highly enough about our local schools, all 3 of our children were a part of the vertical team. We have been able to stay connected with the local schools by volunteering at carnivals, fundraisers, the lunch room, the front office, announcing at AHS basketball games and project graduation. We even water the plants a Murchison!"
