Where Family and Work Grow Together
At Sig Solar, the mothers behind the scenes help shape a culture built on support, resilience, and showing up for one another every day.

At Sig Solar, the story has never just been about business. It has always been about people. And at the center of that story is a group of mothers who have helped hold everything together as it has grown.
Denine, Tiffany, Sara, Melissa, and Kelly, known as the Kerr wives, along with Judy, Kendra, Christy, Melissa A., and the women in sales including Deanna, Jennifer, Gina, and Leslie, each play a role that goes far beyond their job titles. They are part of the daily rhythm of the company, but also part of something deeper that connects work and family in a unique way.
For many of them, Sig Solar has been a shared journey from the beginning. They have supported their husbands as they built something from the ground up, stepping in wherever needed, often without recognition or clear lines between work and home. There have been long days and moments of uncertainty, but also a steady sense that they were building something meaningful together.
That shared experience has shaped the culture of the company in quiet but lasting ways. Being mothers has brought a level of care, patience, and perspective that shows up in how they work with each other and how they support the team. There is an understanding that people matter, and that the way you treat each other along the way is just as important as what you accomplish.
Some of their favorite memories are not big milestones, but simple moments of being together. Watching their families grow alongside the business. Seeing their children spend time around the office, getting a glimpse of what their parents are working toward. Over time, those small moments have added up to something meaningful.
Their children, in many ways, have been part of the journey too. They have watched their fathers build side by side, but they have also seen their mothers show up with consistency and support. Through that, they are learning what it looks like to believe in someone, to work hard, and to stay committed even when things are not easy. Just as importantly, they are learning how to support the people around them.
Motherhood has also shaped how these women approach challenges. When things get hard, they lean on each other. They step in, help where needed, and keep moving forward together. That sense of unity has become one of the most valuable things they can pass on, both at work and at home.
Balancing being a mom and being part of a growing company is not always simple. When work and family are so closely connected, it can be difficult to fully separate the two. There are times when business spills into personal life more than they would like. But over time, they have learned how important it is to be intentional about stepping back, being present, and protecting time with their families.
It is still something they are working on.
What stands out most is not that they have it all figured out, but that they keep showing up for both their families and each other. That consistency, more than anything, has helped shape what Sig Solar is today.
Because in the end, the strength of the company is not just in what it builds, but in the people who build it together.
