Congratulations to Rotary Speech Award Winners

The Ripon Rotary Club is proud to recognize the exceptional achievements of our local students who participated in the Rotary RYLA Camp  (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Camp and earned the prestigious Rotary Youth Leadership Award. Over President's Weekend. These students—Jonathan Salinas and Emmie Mathew- Juniors at Ripon High, showcase the values of leadership, community service, and personal growth that Rotary aims to foster in young people.

RYLA Camp, a key initiative of Rotary International, is designed to inspire and develop young leaders through a variety of workshops, team-building activities, and public speaking opportunities. The camp empowers participants to explore leadership styles, build communication skills, and collaborate with peers from different backgrounds, all while emphasizing the importance of service to others. Our local RYLA students exemplify the positive impact of these values, and we are thrilled to see their continued growth.

A special congratulations goes to Valerie Chun, who achieved 1st place at both the club and area levels of the Rotary Youth Speech Contest on the "Magic of Rotary". Valerie’s dedication and impressive speaking abilities also earned her 3rd place at the district contest.

The Ripon Rotary Club is committed to empowering the next generation of leaders, and we are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of these young individuals. Their achievements reflect the core values of Rotary: service above self, integrity, and leadership. Congratulations to all the award winners!
