& Tequila Bar

Primos Restaurant Ownership group (2021)

When Primo’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar opened its doors in 2019, no one could have predicted the challenges that would follow. Yet through prayer, perseverance, and teamwork, this family-owned gem has become one of Ripon’s most-loved dining spots—a place where great food, good company, and genuine hospitality come together.

Owned by Jesse Anaya, his cousin (or “Primo” in Spanish) Carlos Blanco, and brother-in-law Roman, Primo’s was built on a shared vision: to showcase Mexican cuisine with a fresh, contemporary twist while honoring tradition. Their passion for food and artisanal tequila shines through in every dish and drink. As Susie Blanco once shared, “We prayed and we asked; if this is definitely for us, God, make it clear. He did. We see His grace and glory in everything.”

That same faith and enthusiasm carried into October’s Greet Night Out at Primo’s, where about 35 guests gathered for an evening of connection and culinary discovery. Carlos led a fascinating presentation on tequila—explaining the craftsmanship behind additive-free varieties and guiding guests through a tasting that highlighted flavor, process, and heritage. Paired with Primo’s vibrant dishes and friendly atmosphere, it made for a memorable evening that perfectly captured the heart of this community.

Today, Primo’s continues to thrive thanks to loyal customers and the owners’ deep roots in Ripon. If you’d like to learn more about additive-free tequila, stop by Primo’s and ask for Carlos; he’ll be happy to share his expertise and a sample of what makes it special.
