Ready, Set, Hunt!

A Community Tradition Returns to Stouffer Park

Every year thousands of colorful candy-filled eggs cover the grass at Stouffer Park for the Community Easter Egg Hunt put on by Calvary Church. Music plays as the sun rises over the field and families arrive with kids carrying their baskets and buckets, eager to gather as many eggs as possible.

Happening on Saturday, March 28, The Community Easter Egg Hunt is completely free and open to all with a focus on children up to ten years old participating in the hunt. The lanes are separated by age groups with one lane exclusively offering allergen-free and non-candy options. There are plenty of things for the rest of the family to do as well with yard games, a free hot dog lunch, and other treats to enjoy!

“The Community Easter Egg hunt brings my soul joy every year as hundreds of kids and adults fill the fields of Stouffer,” says Pastor Brett Dood of Calvary Church, “The diversity reminds me of Heaven: full of every age, ability, background, and color, and the fun reminds me of Church: gathering with purpose, joy, and love for others. Of all the events that Calvary does for our community, this one takes the most time, volunteers, and candy, but the outcome is always worth it...children feeling important, noticed, and full of joy.”

If you’ve got young kids, you won’t want to miss this joyful morning as the community gathers together to share in the fun and fellowship. The hunt begins promptly at 10am, so come early to find parking and enjoy the festivities. See you on March 28!
