Mark Hofman

Ripon Christian High School’s Mark Hofman was again recognized for his outstanding leadership, earning TVL Coach of the Year honors for the fifth consecutive season—his sixth overall.

Mark Hofman was named TVL Coach of the Year with 200 career wins this season.

Hofman, the head coach of the Knights’ boys’ basketball program, has built a powerhouse team alongside a talented coaching staff, leading the program to consistent dominance in league and postseason play.

Since taking over in the 2015-16 season, Hofman’s teams have won over 70 percent of their games, securing six league titles, four CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championships, and a CIF State NorCal title. His coaching philosophy—marked by attention to detail, a calm and disciplined approach, and a deep understanding of the game—has been instrumental in the Knights’ success.

Hofman’s coaching staff includes his younger brother, Jason Hofman, who leads the team’s offense with a masterful tactical approach. Mark Vos has instilled a strong defensive mindset after years of success coaching Ripon Christian’s girls’ team and Kris Klein, who develops young talent at the JV level in preparation for varsity competition.

Under Hofman’s leadership, the Ripon Christian Knights have become a perennial contender, and with another impressive season in the books, the future remains bright for this championship-caliber program.
