Soaking Up the Sunshine

Reflecting on graduations, gratitude, and the sweet, fleeting moments of summer

June has arrived, bringing our family longer days, warmer nights, and a season full of meaning. My oldest daughter, Jewel, graduated from High School at the end of May, and this summer marks a series of “first lasts” as we soak up her final weeks at home. Every moment feels like a gift—a reminder of how quickly time moves and how important it is to truly be present.
The summer solstice gives us the longest day of the year, a natural invitation to slow down and enjoy the light. Whether you spend that time traveling, relaxing, or simply laughing around the dinner table, summer reminds us that joy can be found in the everyday.
It’s also a time to reflect on the people who help shape us. Father’s Day offers a special chance to honor the dads, grandfathers, and mentors who’ve walked alongside us, offered support, and helped guide our way. However you choose to celebrate, I hope you take the time to let them know how much they matter.
Inside this issue, you’ll find stories of inspiration, family traditions, and community highlights that make Riverstone such a special place to live. I’m incredibly thankful for our neighbors, contributors, and business partners who help bring each issue to life.
As you move through June, I hope you take in every hug, every milestone, and every moment of sunshine. Life is short and beautiful when you keep pressing forward with gratitude.
Enjoy the season and this issue—we’re so glad you’re here.

Warmly,
