SPARK! Dallas, the innovative educational nonprofit fostering creativity and empowering youth, has announced SPARKtacular, a fundraising event on Thursday, September 10 from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. 

Designed exclusively for adults 21 and older, the immersive evening will feature exceptional cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, live music and opportunities to support SPARK!’s mission. 

Sponsorships, which range from $1,000 to $50,000, are available. Tickets will be for sale closer to the date, if available. More information can be found at sparkdallas.org/sparktacular. 

To celebrate Arbor Day, the City's Parks and Recreation Department, with the assistance of elementary school children from the Highland Park Independent School District, plant a tree in one of the City's parks.

The Dallas Historical Society has announced the Dallas History Makers Awards for Excellence honorees for 2026. They will be presented their awards at the November 19th luncheon at the Fairmont Hotel.

Residents from throughout the area gather to celebrate the coming holiday season. This year's tree lighting will return to Snider Plaza. The festivities, featuring live holiday carols and dances take place on the main stage. More information: uptexas.org/378/Special-Events

For many years, residents from across the Park Cities have gathered at Elena's Children's Park to remember children who are no longer with us. The gathering features short remarks, holiday carols, and the lighting of a holiday tree.
