The San Giorgio Family

If you’ve walked the tree-lined streets of West Wash Park lately, chances are you’ve crossed paths with the warm, energetic Sangiorgio family: Jess, Joe, their one-year-old son, Quinn, and their fluffy sidekick, Gadget. Equal parts adventurous, creative, and community-minded, they bring an infectious spirit to every corner of the neighborhood.
Jess grew up in East Wash Park and always dreamed of returning. After a decade living—and falling in love—in New York City, she and Joe made their way back to Denver, settling just blocks from her childhood home. “It’s full circle,” Jess says. “Watching my son experience the same places I did is unbelievably special.” Joe, a Staten Island native, fell for Denver instantly—particularly the mountains, food scene, and endless sunshine.
Professionally, the couple brings passion and purpose to everything they do. Joe runs JSG Tech Check, a Wash Park–based consulting business where he solves tech challenges for families and companies alike. Jess, a former teacher and Teach for America alumna, now works in Education Technology as a consultant for Renaissance Learning. Their shared love of learning, community, and creativity spills into their home life too—especially in the form of live music. On average, the family catches three to four shows a month, with Red Rocks, Levitt Pavilion, and even Burning Man holding special meaning.
Quinn is quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite—an animated little explorer who loves the zoo, shouts “ta-dow!” during Broncos games, and tags along on all family outings. Gadget, their sweet and silly rescue pup, is equally well-known for his zoomies, goofy personality, and loyalty to his toddler “brother.”
At home, the Sangiorgios are natural hosts, often filling their space with neighbors, friends, and family. Contributions to community are woven into their daily lives—from Joe’s annual tech-powered holiday display (complete with movies projected on their home) to Jess continuing her family’s tradition of giving back and staying connected.
Their favorite part of living here? “Hands down, the people,” Joe says. The feeling seems mutual: earlier this year, a stranger found Joe’s stolen bike in an alley and took the time to get it safely returned—one of many reminders of what makes this neighborhood extraordinary.
Whether they’re strolling to Wash Perk, grabbing dumplings at Fortune Nong Jia Le, or exploring Wash Park with stroller and dog in tow, the Sangiorgios embody the warmth, generosity, and creativity that make Wash Park feel like home.
