From Clyde Hill to Medina: Team Foster's Legacy of Real Estate Excellence!

Tere and Moya have been West Bellevue residents for many years. Tere first moved to Clyde Hill when Moya was in middle school where she attended Chinook. Fast forward to when Moya had her own family and moved to Medina where she and her husband raised their boys, one who is in college and one who is close to finishing high school. Over the years they have loved being involved in the community from meeting friends for dinner at Overlake Golf Club to morning walks with a coffee stop at Queen Bee. They love everything about this community.

Giving back has always been a priority, including serving on the boards of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue, Bellevue Police Foundation, and KidsQuest Children’s Museum.

In our last interview, you mentioned your team’s focus on trusted relationships and in-depth market knowledge. How have those strengths helped you navigate the current real estate landscape?

We have a combined 60 years of experience and have sold thousands of homes in various markets: booming markets, down markets, flat markets. That gives us an edge in the current environment. In times of uncertainty, clients seek knowledgeable, experienced agents who will help them navigate the entire process from listing prep to price to marketing and negotiations.

How has the inventory of homes for sale in West Bellevue changed over the past
year, and what impact has this had on pricing and competition among buyers?

The inventory of homes for sale in West Bellevue has increased. Sellers who price their homes strategically will do better at achieving their goal. Aspirational pricing is not an effective strategy in this market. Buyers have access to a lot of information and track their own comps for homes. An experienced listing agent knows how to navigate this and work with the buyer’s agent to bring forward the offer and begin a conversation.

What trends are you currently seeing in the West Bellevue real estate market?

Location. Location. Location. Homes in West Bellevue are more desirable than ever. The return to office trend is increasing demand for close-in neighborhoods. The access to ever-increasing amenities in our community continues to be a huge draw for buyers who value their time and, therefore, the convenience of world-class offerings at their fingertips.

For those considering selling their homes, what key advice would you offer to maximize their property’s value?

Presentation and pricing are key. Today's buyers are reluctant to do projects. This hails back to people valuing their time more than ever and looking for homes that are turnkey; just unpack and start making memories. A great broker has the experience and vendors to create the perfect presentation and the knowledge on how to price strategically.

With deep roots in West Bellevue and a commitment to serving their community, Tere and Moya continue to be a trusted resource for buyers and sellers alike. Their experience, strategic approach, and true passion for this special place give their clients an edge in today’s market. Whether you’re thinking about making a move or simply want to better understand the current landscape, their insight and dedication are second to none.
