Baywatch? No, Bellevue!

Marcus Trittenbass, Triangle Pool

While some students spent their break sleeping in or heading out of town, others were up early, pulling on their red shirts and heading to the water. This summer, a group of Bellevue High students took on one of the season’s most important jobs: Lifeguarding! From early mornings to long afternoons in the sun, they kept watch over swimmers, stayed alert, and were ready to act at all times.

Lifeguarding might seem like just a chill summer job, but it takes real focus. Between getting certified, learning rescue techniques, and staying alert all day, it’s not as easy as it looks. These students showed up, stayed sharp, and handled everything from minor scrapes to serious situations.
