Scratch, Skinny, Spicy

Turn up the heat this June with a bold and refreshing cocktail that packs a punch of zesty citrus and just the right amount of spice. Featuring Gran Centenario Plata Tequila, fresh lime and orange, and fiery jalapeño, this drink skips the excess to deliver clean, vibrant flavors. A Tajín rim adds the perfect salty-sour kick, making it a go-to for warm days and spicy celebrations.

Ingredients:

2 lime wedges
1 orange wedge
2 Jalapeño Slices
1.5 oz Gran Centenario Plata Tequila
0.5 oz lime juice
0.25 oz Simple Syrup
Tajín Seasoning (for rim)

Method:

Rim a rocks glass with Tajín seasoning by running a lime wedge around the rim, then dipping it into the Tajín to create a vibrant, flavorful edge. Set the glass aside.

In a shaker tin, add the lime wedges, orange wedge, and two slices of fresh jalapeño. Muddle the ingredients firmly to release the juices and infuse the natural flavors into the mix. The muddled citrus brings a bright, tangy base, while the jalapeño introduces a satisfying heat.

Next, add the Gran Centenario Plata Tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker tin. Fill with ice, seal, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and blend the ingredients.

Fine strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over ice. Fine straining removes the pulp and seeds, ensuring a smooth yet spicy sip. For the finishing touch, garnish with a fresh jalapeño slice, which adds a hint of drama and a preview of the cocktail's kick.

This drink is perfect for those who like their cocktails with a bit of edge—bright, clean, and unapologetically spicy!
