A Bellevue Approach to Wellbeing

Dr. Erik Suh & Lacee Meyer, APRN, Eastside Primary Care and Wellness/Suh Esthetics

The Heart Behind the Practice: Dr. Erik Suh

Born in Seoul, Korea, and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Erik Suh always had a passion for math and science—particularly human anatomy and physiology. In college, he studied premed biology at Baylor University—later earning his medical degree at the University of Texas and becoming a family physician. After visiting Washington for his brother’s wedding, he fell in love with the area’s beauty and diversity. “I settled in West Bellevue in 2001 for its convenient location and great schools for my three kids: Sydney, Ethan, and Aedan,” Dr. Suh shared.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Suh worked in both hospital settings and under independent clinics. Those experiences taught him that he wanted to build a practice to care for patients the way he would like to be treated—with integrity, time, and genuine compassion. In 2005, he did just that—opening Eastside Primary Care and Wellness. Seeing firsthand that the healthcare system was broken, with clinics and hospitals going bankrupt due to their payment models run by Medicare and health insurance companies, he created a model that supports both his patients and his staff.
“I wanted to understand the root cause of a medical problem, not just treat the symptoms,” he explained.

By choosing concierge medicine, Dr. Suh can give each patient the time, attention, and presence they deserve. Unlike conventional models where care is often rushed, appointments are short, and providers are pressured to meet quotas, his practice was designed to do the opposite—where thoughtful, individualized care is always his top priority. “Success is watching my patients grow healthier over time and knowing they feel safe with me as their provider,” he said.

Dr. Suh brings even more value to the Bellevue community by donating to charities, lobbying at the capital for better healthcare for Washington, and raising money for various nonprofits. He even started his own nonprofit organization, KAHPA (Korean American Health Professional Association), to provide networking opportunities for Korean American providers and a referral source for the Korean American community. Since passing on his passion for health and wellness is so important to him, Dr. Suh also volunteers as an assistant professor for Pacific Northwest University Osteopathic Medical School and as a clinical instructor for the University of Washington School of Medicine. As he shared, “I’m grateful to live in a place I truly care about, and I love giving back, supporting others, and helping make our community a better, more peaceful place for everyone.”

The Artistry of Wellness: Lacee Meyer, APRN

Today, Dr. Suh’s clinic has evolved to focus more on wellness and functional medicine. “After many patients asked me to provide esthetic care, I expanded my training and created a clinic where patients can get both medical and esthetic care in one place at Suh Esthetics,” he said.

Dr. Suh works alongside Nurse Practitioner, Lacee Meyer, to provide advanced esthetic and wellness treatments. They both share an interest in longevity—focusing on long-term wellbeing, rather than short-term results. “Our collaboration is incredibly synergistic,” said Lacee. “His comprehensive primary care paired with my artistic touch allows us to focus on regenerative wellness for our patients.”

Lacee’s path into esthetic medicine began with her 15-year background in healthcare and evolved through years of studying anatomy, facial balance, wellness, and longevity. Her approach blends clinical precision with a genuine passion for helping others feel more confident in their own skin.
Lacee specializes in full-face esthetic rejuvenation including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, biostimulators, microneedling, and energy-based treatments. She also leads their weight-loss and metabolic wellness programs, integrating muscle-building devices, peptide therapy, lifestyle support, and holistic strategies to help patients achieve natural-looking, sustainable results. “We offer comprehensive, elevated, medically-driven esthetic care right here in the neighborhood,” said Lacee. “We focus on safety, artistry, and natural beauty.”

Patients can expect a personalized plan that aligns with their lifestyle, aging goals, and individualized features. Every esthetic treatment begins with Lacee evaluating the client’s medical history, hormones, sleep, stress, and overall health—supporting aging longevity—healthy skin, natural results, and evidence-based care. “After having battled acne through most of my adult life, esthetics is deeply personal to me,” Lacee added. “Restoring someone’s confidence and sense of self is the most meaningful part of my work.”

Together, Dr. Suh and Lacee continue shaping a practice devoted to compassionate medicine, regenerative wellness, and natural, confident beauty for the Bellevue community they love.
