Meet Your Publisher

Christy Gallagher

Publisher Christy Gallagher is a long-time resident of Newport Beach. She originally moved to Orange County to attend UC Irvine and has been in the area ever since. She and her husband, Rob Gallagher, have two daughters, Samantha and Maggie.

"We started publishing our neighborhood magazines in 2014 as our daughters were getting ready to leave for college. What I thought would be a part-time hobby has become a full-time business that we absolutely love. We started our first magazine in the Spyglass Hill neighborhood, then quickly added Stroll the Port Streets, Stroll Lido Isle, Stroll Balboa Island, Greet Corona del Mar and BeLocal Coachella Valley.

Getting to work with amazing local businesses and meet residents in the community is a gift. We are honored to be community historians and storytellers, connecting people in unique ways. We love that we can create positive, highly-anticipated monthly magazines that bring people together and bring joy to the community.

As a small business, identifying a marketing partner that aligns with your business goals and long-term vision is critical. Hi Christy, what I love about the magazine….I usually know someone in town that you spotlight, I love the advertising of the new retail shops & others, I love the photos, pets, sunsets, all the sites around CdM, the city contacts and the restaurants. The list goes on and on. I moved to CdM from Massapequa, Long Island, NY in 1979 and have never looked back. I love it here and all that it has to offer.

Greet Corona del Mar focuses its spotlight on many aspects of our unique village. It is a beautifully presented little magazine that introduces us to the families, the businesses, and the beauty of the area, from the peaceful beaches to the busy highway which dissects it. It selects fascinating places of interest to highlight, with stories of their history. The photography is excellent. I really look forward to each month’s delivery.
