At the center of the family are Tyler and Diane Glass. Together, they raise a dynamic household of four children who are already making their mark:

The family brings together roots from two different parts of Pennsylvania. Diane is a lifelong Hershey native, having lived in the area for most of her life. Her children, Emily and Eric, also had the privilege of growing up surrounded by everything the town has to offer. Tyler, Nicholas, and Peter originally hail from nearby Berks County. They officially made the move to Hershey within the last six years, fully integrating into the daily rhythm of the neighborhood.

     Professionally, the family is deeply anchored in the railroad industry. Tyler brings a wealth of experience to the table, having dedicated over 35 years to the Reading and Northern Railroad. Diane is equally involved in the field. Alongside her brother, David Gamble, she operates Hershey Transportation Solutions, a local company specializing in leasing railcars. Through this business, they keep a vital industry moving while supporting the local economy.

     When they aren't working, Tyler and Diane stay highly active in the local sports scene. Both are avid tennis players and can frequently be found practicing their swing at the Hershey Racquet Club. The family’s connection to local history runs especially deep through the Swatara Train Station. This historic building, which Diane’s family once lived in, holds a special place in their hearts. The Glass family takes immense pride in maintaining the station, ensuring it remains preserved in a condition that mirrors its historic heyday.

     The Swatara Station stands as a proud monument to Hershey’s history, holding a deeply significant connection to the Milton S. Hershey factory and the growth of the surrounding community. Purchased from Dr. David Cunningham in 2015, the family restored the station with painstaking love and respect. The historic building serves as a living bridge to the past, safely enclosing valuable remnants of a bygone transportation era. Today, it serves a vibrant dual purpose: it proudly houses Eric’s local business, Hershey HVAC, while standing firm against the backdrop of the very chocolate empire it helped form.

     The station's platform recently took center stage for a monumental community moment. Neighbors gathered for an intimate event to witness the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 steam locomotive thunder down the tracks, passing right through the area to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. For a family with such deep railroad roots, seeing the world’s largest operating steam train meet their beautifully preserved station was the ultimate tribute to a shared legacy of rail history.
