Frontier Organics
From a simple Facebook post to a national stage.
Frontier Organics, a small family-run business based out of Oakdale, California, began with something simple: an “All Things Oakdale” Facebook post in January 2024 offering jars of rendered grass-fed grass-finished suet tallow. What happened next was something they never expected. The response from their local community was overwhelming. Friends, neighbors, and customers quickly began asking for more, suggesting additional tallow-based products they would love to see.
Listening closely to the needs of their community, they expanded beyond their original jars of tallow and began developing a line of skincare and hygiene products made with all-natural and organic ingredients, creating every item with integrity, purpose, and intention. One of their most loved products (to date) was created - the Honey Tallow Balm, a nutrient-dense balm with medical-grade manuka honey used by many customers for treating eczema, psoriasis, acne, scars, scrapes, cuts, burns, and as an overall everyday moisturizer.
As interest grew, Frontier Organics began applying to local vendor events and farmers' markets. Their journey wasn’t without setbacks. Initially, they were not accepted into the Oakdale Morning Market, a goal they had been hoping to achieve. Instead of giving up, they continued participating in smaller community pop-ups, including events held in the Crooked Spur parking lot. Their first official vendor pop-up came in March 2024 when Paws n Pints hosted an event at Persuasion Brewery Company in Modesto. It was an exciting milestone at the beginning of many more opportunities.
When the Oakdale Morning Market opened its season in May 2024 without them on the vendor list, the team felt disappointed, but remained strong in faith. Then, during the third week of the market, they received an email they had been hoping for: their application had been accepted! It proved to be a turning point. With faith, perseverance, and the continued support of the community, Frontier Organics quickly built a loyal customer base. Even when minor challenges arose, they kept showing up week after week.
Over the past two years, Frontier Organics has become a familiar face at markets throughout the region, including The Certified Modesto Farmers Market, The Market Turlock, Ripon Farmers Market, Riverbank Tuesday Night Market, Waterford Market, Escalon Farmers Market, and of course the Oakdale Morning Market.
For the last two years, they have attended a market nearly every Saturday of the year, taking only two weeks off for Christmas. Rain or shine they’ve been there, missing just one market due to unusually strong winds that made travel unsafe.
Their dedication and grassroots growth have now led to an extraordinary milestone for Frontier in March 2026. Frontier Organics was accepted to exhibit at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, one of the largest natural products expos in the world. What began as a single Facebook post has grown into a thriving, small business, rooted in family, faith, and community.
Frontier Organics Makes Breakthrough Debut at Natural Expo West
Frontier Organics debuts under The Wonderful World of Tallow, one of the world’s largest gatherings of natural and organic brands, making a major milestone for a growing industry evolving into a retail-ready brand, attracting attention from major retailers and distributors across the globe. At this year's Expo, the company unveiled The Wonderful World of Tallow in a full-scale vendor booth for the very first time, introducing their line of regenerative, nutrient-dense products rooted in traditional ingredients and clean formulations.
The booth was centered around three core pillars: organic ingredients, regenerative agriculture, and sustainability. In recognition of these values, several products were selected to be featured in the Expo’s Sustainability Kiosk, highlighting brands committed to environmentally responsible innovation.
During the event, they showcased a new full lineup including:
* Tallow-based skincare
* Haircare
* Lip Serums
* Functional Tallow Butters
* Nutritional Cacso Bars
* Tallow Protein Bars
* Traditional Pemmican Bars
Attendees were extremely surprised and pleased with the sensory experience of the products, frequently commenting on the scent and texture, despite the brand's strict commitment to no fragrances, no seed oils, no chemicals, no preservatives, and no emulsifiers.
The response exceeded expectations, with the team connecting with numerous retailers, distributors, and partners interested in bringing the brand to a wider audience.
While everyone is still processing the momentum, the mission remains grounded.
“We don’t know exactly what the next few months will look like, but we are committed to keeping God at the center of our foundation and future,” the founders shared. “We trust Him to continue to guide our journey.” The team also credits the community for helping make this moment possible. “Our customers continue to support us, and it’s their encouragement that brought us this far.”
With growing interest in traditional fats, regenerative sourcing, and clean products, they believe this Expo debut is just the beginning of a much larger movement.
Until then, you can find Frontier Organics at various local farmers' markets and their products inside The Shoppe on 3rd and Bend the Trend in Riverbank.
