Move over, hardware experts, there's a new team member at Sienna Ace Hardware, and he's quickly becoming everyone's favorite employee.

Meet SpongeBob, a three-month-old Golden Retriever whose official duties include greeting customers, accepting belly rubs, and collecting as many kisses as possible throughout the workday.

SpongeBob's owner, a resident and part-owner of Sienna Ace Hardware, wasn't even looking for a puppy named SpongeBob. But while out to dinner with his parents, he stumbled across the adorable Golden Retriever online. The fact that the puppy already carried the name of his favorite cartoon character sealed the deal.

"When I saw his name was SpongeBob, I knew I had to meet him," he shared.

Since joining the family, SpongeBob has brought plenty of excitement and a little chaos. Like most puppies, he's had his fair share of mischievous moments, including an unforgettable introduction to his canine cousin.

"My brother's dog basically looked at me and said, 'Give him back, I didn't agree to this,'" his owner laughed.

These days, SpongeBob has settled into his new routine and is taking his role at Ace Hardware very seriously. While his talents are still being discovered, one thing is certain: he's an excellent customer greeter.

At home, SpongeBob enjoys the perks of being completely spoiled. In fact, his owner admits to carrying him up three flights of stairs whenever he's "too tired" to make the climb himself.

Whether he's welcoming customers, making new friends, or charming everyone he meets, SpongeBob is already proving that he's a perfect fit for the team.
